Emmanuel Lo Monaco’s educational credentials include two Bachelor of Science degrees and one Master of Science degree. He obtained on Bachelor of Science degree at Concordia University in Exercise Science, and at Queen’s University in Physical Therapy. He received his Master’s degree from McGill University in Rehabilitation Sciences and was awarded a Physical Therapy Fellowship in 1988 by The National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research of the U.S.A., the purpose of which was to develop his capacity to do advanced rehabilitation research.
Emmanuel has been a physiotherapist since 1992 and worked in private clinics in Montréal, Québec and Surrey, British Columbia before opening his clinic in Hawkesbury Ontario in 2003. His areas of interest include human motor control, neurophysiology of pain mechanisms, vestibular physiology both in the clinical and research setting. He’s worked with people of all ages who have sustained injuries in motor vehicle accidents, in the workplace and in sports.
He has enhanced his clinical skills by using techniques such as acupuncture, and Muscle Energy, and in 2014 he obtained his diploma in Osteopathy. He has become familiar with the importance of proper client service delivery, communication and listening skills.
Emmanuel is a proud father of three boys and enjoys cycling and skiing as often as he can.
Kendra’s educational credentials include a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. Kendra has taken extra courses in Shockwave, Acupuncture, healthy back care, functional abilities evaluation (FAE) and orthopedic taping.

Kendra has experience working with both the orthopedic population and neurological population. Conditions can include but are not limited to acute and chronic low back and neck pain, various sports and repetitive strain injuries, as well as impairments resulting from stroke, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries other neurological conditions.
Methods
Kendra is passionate about rehabilitating, restoring and enhancing client’s function and performance. She incorporates multiple treatment techniques including manual therapy and muscle facilitation, various modalities (including Shockwave Therapy Acupuncture, NMES, TENS, ultrasound and exercise prescription.
Mary-Katherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Honours from McGill and her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to completing her Masters, Mary worked at Hawkesbury Therapy as a Kinesiologist. She helped to build the clinic’s first rehabilitation gym, and to develop and implement the current exercise program. She initiated the neuro- rehabilitation approach for our clients with neurological deficits. During her first year at Hawkesbury therapy, Mary also worked as a physiotherapist assistant, developing her own manual therapy and clinical reasoning skills that served her well during her Masters. Having completed her M.Sc.PT, Mary returned to work with our team as a physiotherapist, providing care to clients with both chronic and acute neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
Mary-Katherine has a clinical approach that combines manual therapy, muscle energy, exercise prescription, and modalities including ultrasound, neuromuscular stimulation, Deep Oscillator, Focus Shockwave, and Radial Pressure Wave therapy to maximize the daily function, athletic performance, and ultimately, overall , well-being of her clients.
Lorenzo has joined the Hawkesbury Therapy team in 2015. He is committed to providing clinic members with breakthrough program design and strategies by implementing a unique format, delivery and approach to efficiently and realistically achieve their fitness goals. He is qualified to work with individuals of all ages and abilities with unparalleled dedication and professionalism towards client goal achievement to ensure exercise retention and fitness success. Lorenzo is a contributing writer for several fitness articles in a local newspaper: “The Chronicle”. He is also a Health and Fitness writer for ME magazine (including nutrition).
